The hotel is great, but the service isn’t great. While we were here, they hosted a private dinner party for external guests in main outside area of the hotel, and leading up to the night their service was very substandard: eg 1: waiting for 10 minutes for a towel by the poolside after swimming, even though this was before 7 pm and not that late for the serviceable time for the staff. Eg 2: Called asking for a water refill for the room earlier in the evening, nobody answered, and then called again later in the evening and was told that they’ll send it in 20 minutes and then nobody comes and then I go down to the reception myself to ask for water, and can clearly see all the staff attending to the private dinner party’s entrance, and even thereafter it took like 5 minutes for the water despite me being over their head.

A beautiful boutique hotel with excellent facilities. The food is superb and correctly priced. The hotel Is very elegantly designed and so are the room. The small communal areas everywhere make the space feel Larger. Overall an excellent stay. Ok

This place really is the definition of perfection! The rooms, the pool, the location right on the beach, and most of all the outstanding service from the Long House team. We extended our 3 night stay a further 2 nights as we just couldn't imagine somewhere better to finish our stay in Sri Lanka. Breakfast was outstanding and the dinner menu was reasonably priced for the quality of food - I would recommend the pan seared tuna which was fantastic. The location is very quiet, apart from the odd passing train which only adds to the experience. We only wish we lived closer so we could come here all the time :)

What a place! This is one of the most stunning hotels I’ve visited. The rooms and the setting is phenomenal with delicate choices down to the smallest details.The staff is attentive and makes sure to accommodate every single request one might have.Right next to the beach with amazing sunbeds and beautiful sunsets and perfect swimming conditions. The train tracks are a part of the beautiful esthetics that this place gives and are a part of the experience. In no way are the passing trains a disturbance.Breakfast is amazing and so is the dinner.

Beautiful hotel. The design is modern but very functional. Rooms are lovely, fitted with outdoor lounge area and there is also additional seating areas dotted around the ground floor if you fancy a change of scenery as well as a gorgeous pool area.Food is impeccable and staff on hand all hours of the day to make your stay enjoyable. Would definitely come back!
