The former name of this pearl shaped island & now a variety of tea that we hold in the highest of regards, Ceylon House is a stunning example of contemporary design meets ancient artistry. The architecture of Ceylon House is based on the award-winning design of Shela House on Lamu island. Arriving at the house via the wide sand coloured steps– you first see the welcoming edgeless pool, positioned between two elegant pillars framing the sea view beyond. A generous veranda offers an expandable seating area, which leads off the internal ground floor. Flanking the pool is a massage room on one side and a spacious shower/pool changing room on the other. An internal staircase leads up to a large living room & dining verandah overlooking the pool as well as two ensuite double-bed guest rooms. Further on up to the second floor where a beautifully proportioned, cool and gracious master bedroom leads off a private terrace, with incredible vistas of the sea and palm trees. A further double & twin bedroom (both ensuite) furnished with traditional style beds. An additional staircase runs from the master suite up to the fourth floor to arguably the best view on the cape. An airy and stylish rooftop terrace provides the ideal spot to dine during day or night time hours and gives you a breathtaking panoramic view of the tropical surroundings. Rental conditions
Check-in time: 3:00pm - Check-out time: 10:00am - Depending on availability, early/late check-in/-out may be available at no extra charge - A security deposit may be payable upon arrival at the property - Only the specified number of guests listed in the Booking Contract at the time of booking may reside on the premises - The main guest is responsible for the behavior of all guests and visitors at the property during the rental period - Children must be supervised by an adult at all times - Fireworks are prohibited in the property, its garden and the beach close by (if any) - No events are permitted on the premises without the property owner's prior approval - It is compulsory and a condition of booking that you have arranged for adequate travel and medical insurance before traveling to Sri Lanka
Reservation conditions
A 50% deposit is required within 5 working days after availability confirmation - The remaining 50% balance must be paid 65 days prior to arrival - If the arrival date is within 65 days of the date of the booking request the total rental amount is payable as a deposit - All rates are quoted in US Dollars (USD) - Local currency payments are accepted in USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, and SGD - Payments in foreign currencies are subject to currency exchange rate fluctuations and may incur bank and other fees - Additional payment methods (subject to a 3.5% payment processing fee) include VISA, Mastercard, Union Pay, American Express, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and more
Cancellation policy
Any booking modification or cancellation must be sent to [email protected] - Cancellation policy is applied according to property local time - 50% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made more than 65 days before the start of the rental period - 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if cancelling within 1 and 64 days of arrival - Bookings may be amended up to 60 days before the arrival date but will incur a USD 150.00 administration fee for each change made - For no-show: 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited - Christmas and New Year Period: All payments will be forfeited
