Absolutely stunning!!! Totally recommended. We had an amazing time. The manager and the staff were very welcoming. The place is neat and clean. Every single day as long as we were there the staff would come in early to clean the house, the pool and all the surroundings. Location is the best. Right at the beach. You can just get down on the beach but this is a rocky beach. But just a few metres away is the proper sand beach where you can just walk and go from the villa. Huge space. The main living area has only fans and huge glass windows and doors. So during the summers if you are there it can be hot. 1 room which was on the ground floor had issue with the Ac and the fan made noise, we complained about it and they said they would look into it. All the rooms are huge and stunning. Minimalist modern designing. It just soothes your mind. Yes the door knobs, handles, metal light fixtures were rusted. But that happens because of the sea being so close. No matter how many times you change everything it is bound to happen so i don't think we should be complaining about it if we want to take up such a humongous villa right at the beach. Otherwise it was absolutely clean. The staff cleaned the whole house apart from our rooms which we told them not to. Hot water was available in all bathrooms. ACs in all other rooms worked well. I read a review which said that the tv room was used as a store room. Yes the room has been set up with tv and sofas etc. But the extra mattresses etc. we lying in a corner. That really did not bother us as we used the tv room just once while we were staying there. We spent most of the time in the pool and by the beach so we had an absolutely amazing time. Coming to the food. We had taken half board basis so we had breakfast and dinner included in our package. For lunch we were generally out as we were sightseeing. Food was exceptional as well. The Chef was always open to our requests if we had any apart from the menu he had decided for us. We loved the food. The spread was amazing. Every single day the table was set up for us properly as we would have in any 5 star hotel. Apart from the rusting issue we totally enjoyed the villa and its vastness and the calmness it had. Definitely recommended if you are looking out for a beach house.

Stunning villa! We loved staying there, the staff was extremely kind and the food was incredible. You can go on walks along the beach and see the turtle sanctuary next door. The house was perfectly clean and modern.

Hi. We just returned from a holiday at the green turtle villa, managed by The Serendipity collection. I would like to share our experience with you. The day before our trip the manager a man named Palitha(P) told us that he could not make lunch upon our arrival at 2pm because he had guests who were departing at 12pm and needed to be given lunch. We said ok to this, but realized much later that this was just a start to the list of ‘NO’ we would be told for the next 3 days.We arrived on the 4th of February, check in is generally at 2pm but we arrived slightly early at 12.30pm. We were welcomed by the manager - P who literally first asked us very rudely why we had arrived early. We had not even parked our car yet. Then he proceeded to ignore us and complain about the fact that we had arrived early to the reservation team over a phone conversation which was within our earshot and extremely unpleasant to hear. We unloaded our own bags and told the manager that we were in no hurry to check in, he could take his time to arrange the rooms for us at his convenience. We remained in the garden until they got the villa ready for us.The villa needs quite a bit of maintenance . The fittings are ageing. The pictures on the website are rather deceiving. The light fittings are rusted and the upholstery on the sofa was dirty. The tv room was treated as a store room with unfinished paintings just lying there. There were no kids channels on the tv and screen sharing from the phone was not possible. The villa has a huge garden, with zero sport entertainment given to guest. Hot water wasn’t working in the showers at some times. The fan in one of the rooms was making a terrible sound and it made it impossible to sleep. The same room had an issue with the AC as well. The bedrooms have only blinds which were see through to the outside world, obvious privacy issues with people being able to see through the blinds were not even thought of. It was as if the villa had just opened its doors to guests without looking into any details of how to make it comfortable for its guests. We had requested for mattresses for my kids for the night, they gave it to us with no pillows. There was no drinking water kept in the rooms. Even after telling the staff to keep drinking water in the rooms it was not done. Whatever we requested of the staff, the first response was always hesitation. I don’t think the staff have been trained to treat guests or have any knowledge about hospitality.The first day we had requested for hoppers and was told that the in house chef was unable to make it and they would bring in a lady who would make it for an extra charge. This was the worst hoppers I have tasted in Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan food made on the next day and the bbq was all very tasty and one of the very few positives of the whole trip.We have been to many villas. This is the first time we were told to make the full payment upfront even before stepping into the villa. It was kind of a trap, no way out even with horrible service, worst we have ever faced. The villa would actually be so beautiful with such a huge lush garden with some attention and love given to the maintenance, the aging fitting, and a proper team hospitality trained, running it.Utter disappointment of a holiday. We did not recieve the service for the amount we paid for, no value for money. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Badly managed is the exact word for it.

Luxurious villa for at least 4 to 12 persons. Amazing indoor and outdoor big spaces. Morning services. Needs a bit of maintenance. But we had good times overall.

I HAD BOOKED THIS VILLA FROM THE 1ST-4TH OF DEC THE MOMENT I LANDED I ONLY REALIZED THAT DUE TO SOME SYSTEM ERROR THE BOOKING WAS OVERDONE AND THEY WERE GUESTS ALREADY STAYING THERE.AFTER HAVING TO WAIT FOR THE NEXT 2 HRS I WAS PUT UP IN SOME LOW GRADE PROPERTY AS A "SO CALLED " COMPENSATION FROM THE PROPERTIES END WHICH DID NOT MATCH UP TO TO MY EXCEPTIONS. FURTHERMORE I WAS GIVEN THE ONLY OPTIONS TO MOVE PROPERTY EACH DAY AND THE AUTHORITIES COULDN'T EVEN DO AS MUCH AS PUTTING ME UP IN THE SAME PROPERTY FOR ALL 3 DAYS DESPITE OF SYSTEM ERRORS FROM THERE END.POST THIS ON THE 3RD DAY WHEN I WAS GIVEN A MAIL CONFIRMATION FROM THE HOTEL AUTHORITIES TO BE PUT UP IN THE VILLA I HAD ACTUALLY PAID UP FOR I GOT A CALL TO SAY THAT THERE IS A POWER FAILURE DUE TO WHICH THE PROPERTY COULDN'T T BE GIVEN OUT EVEN FOR THE THIRD DAY DESPITE PAYING THE WHOLE AMOUNT FOR IT AND HAVING A CONFIRMED VOUCHER.THIS WAS BY FAR THE MOST DISSATISFYING EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD AND IT ONLY CONTRIBUTED TO MAKE MY TRIP AS INCONVENIENT AS POSSIBLE.WOULD ASK EVERYONE TO THINK A ZILLION TIMES BEFORE BOOKING IT.
