5 stars doesn't even come close to doing justice to Meda Gedera and its team!The house itself, nestled on the Indian Ocean, is absolutely beautiful and incredibly well thought out. All the rooms are so comfortable and well furnished, from the bedrooms to the communal areas: nothing has escaped the owner's finely tuned attention to detail.The gardens and pool, where we spent a LOT of time, are simply stunning, with its own waterslide to keep the children (ok, and us!) busy for hours at a time.Walks along the unspoilt beach were interspersed with delicious home cooked meals, and the villa's location lends itself perfectly to trips to nearby Dickwella and Galle to see even more of this spectacular island.The team are obviously so happy to work there: nothing is too much trouble and the villa manager saw to it that no detail was missed or opportunity for an activity not researched: we took advantage of daily yoga, amazing football coaching for our children and a trip to an amazing lagoon, as well as the Udawalawe National Park (the elephants!!)You will not regret a trip to Media Gedera, and will forge memories for life!

This is heaven on a plate - I came to MG not being a yogi - nervous of that fact - I now do yoga twice a week ! I fell in love with yoga and the whole MG experience- it’s wonderful!

I can’t even find the words to describe my time at Meda Gedera with Fiona and her team. From morning yoga in a beautiful shala on the edge of the Indian Ocean, to the mouthwatering food delivered to the table each night, every bit in between was nothing short of perfection. The villa itself is absolutely stunning, the team every bit as friendly and kind hearted as Fiona herself, and the views second to none I’ve ever seen in my life. I cannot wait to be back next year!

We stayed at the Meda Gedara villa for 4 days and were blown away by the villa, the surroundings and the service we experienced. What a beautiful and peaceful place, the friendly staff and delicious food just added to a perfect stay in Sri Lanka.
