Rental conditions
Check-in time: 3:00pm - Check-out time: 10:00am - Depending on availability, early/late check-in/-out may be available at no extra charge - A security deposit may be payable upon arrival at the property - Only the specified number of guests listed in the Booking Contract at the time of booking may reside on the premises - The main guest is responsible for the behavior of all guests and visitors at the property during the rental period - Children must be supervised by an adult at all times - Fireworks are prohibited in the property, its garden and the beach close by (if any) - No events are permitted on the premises without the property owner's prior approval - It is compulsory and a condition of booking that you have arranged for adequate travel and medical insurance before traveling to Sri Lanka
Reservation conditions
A 50% deposit is required within 5 working days after availability confirmation - The remaining 50% balance must be paid 65 days prior to arrival - If the arrival date is within 65 days of the date of the booking request the total rental amount is payable as a deposit - All rates are quoted in US Dollars (USD) - Local currency payments are accepted in USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, and SGD - Payments in foreign currencies are subject to currency exchange rate fluctuations and may incur bank and other fees - Additional payment methods (subject to a 3.5% payment processing fee) include VISA, Mastercard, Union Pay, American Express, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and more
Cancellation policy
Any booking modification or cancellation must be sent to [email protected] - Cancellation policy is applied according to property local time - 50% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made more than 65 days before the start of the rental period - 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if cancelling within 1 and 64 days of arrival - Bookings may be amended up to 60 days before the arrival date but will incur a USD 150.00 administration fee for each change made - For no-show: 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited - Christmas and New Year Period: All payments will be forfeited

We had the most wonderful Christmas here in 2023. It truly was magical. The outside/inside living this house offered was exactly what we wanted. Looking at the incredible lake all day long was amazing. We even saw crocodiles! The staff in the house were one of the highlights, the food was totally AMAZING and we were served Sri Lanka's best food. We have called in love with Sri Lanka and are desperate to visit again.

We had the most magical 5 nights at Sea Heart House. We arrived weary from our flight and were greeted by the amazing staff into the beautiful house and gardens. Ranga's cooking was TOP CLASS and we were looked after so well, it was hard to leave. The situation of the house is breath-taking with tranquil views over the lake which is ever changing.

Sea Heart House is such a lovely place to stay. We were lucky to spend our family Christmas there this year. Quite apart from the beauty of the place: the views, birdlife, fruit bats coming in in the evenings, the monkeys swinging past in the morning, our stay was completely made by Ranga, Chandra and Menusha, They looked after us so beautifully and gave us the perfect introduction to this wonderful country. It was very hard to leave!

We spent an extended 6-months at Seaheart House and had a lovely time with the friendy local staff, the sweet old dogs, the beautiful well-maintained garden, the lovely neighbours, and of course the fantastic views. It's a very peaceful place, ideal for grounding and spending peaceful time out of everything, and at the same time, very close from what's available down south (beach, fancy restaurants, groceries, etc. is 10-15min away). We had to leave sadly, and moved closer to our son's school, but we're thinking of maybe hiring it again for a weekend sometimes ;) I really miss the lake view with its surrounding calming nature, and of course the Seaheart Vine!

This was the perfect place to stay. The location was ideal and home wonderfully relaxing. The chef was a great guy, cooking fantastic, healthy Sri Lankan and European food to order. The pool, gym and yoga pavilion were perfect to get moving and it was 15 minutes tuk tuk from one of the most beautiful and empty beaches on the south coast.I would highly recommend it for family groups and friends looking for lovely and very well run place to stay at a very competitive price for a luxury place.

The beautiful, ancient ‘Sea Heart’ vine (Entada Gigas) curls and winds its way through the trees, at the entrance to the property, welcoming you to its home! Situated on a peninsular of land on the northern side of the lake, the house is just 15 minutes from beautiful sandy beaches and 30 minutes from the historic Galle Fort.
