We had a wonderful stay at Kumbura Villa. The property is absolutely beautiful and the photos are a good representation of the property's current condition. The sheets and towels are top quality; there are robes provided, and safes in the bedrooms.Cecile is a highly responsive and friendly host. She provided lots of very helpful and reassuring information ahead of our arrival and was contactable throughout our stay for local tips.The villa staff were amazing - always on hand when we needed them, but never obtrusive. Manjula and her team prepared fantastic meals (do try the passionfruit mousse) and organised tuk-tuk rides when we needed them. They were delightful with our 6-year-old son.We were in Sri Lanka for a special anniversary celebration and our stay at Kumbura Villa was just what we hoped for.

A true heaven on earth !! What a BEAUTIFUL place !! We literally enjoyed every single moment in this place. The staff are amazing and very helpful, and the place? Indescribable .. My wife and two kids really loved watching all the different types of animals in the surroundings. Definitely recommended to everyone !!

It’s hard to know where to start when reviewing Kumbura – it’s just one of the most magical places we’ve ever stayed. You are surrounded by beautiful Sri Lankan countryside which is literally teeming with life (kingfishers, peacocks, monkeys, hummingbirds, etc etc). And you will leave wishing Manjula could cook for you forever, and so sad to have to say goodbye to her and this very special place. We hope to come back many times more

The arrival was smooth and the actual property is attractive, considered and in immaculate running order. the outdoor areas, including an infinity pool overlooking Paddy fields with wild peacocks, were a highlight.The cleaner, cook and security guard were veryconsiderate going the extra mile to support the 2families staying who has a 6 month old, 2 year old and 4year old between us. Manjula deserves a special mentionas she was truly fantastic and even looked after ourchildren so we could enjoy our meals.The perfect setting for a relaxing or adventurous holiday with plenty to do nearby! Nothing whatsoever to complain about!

We spent one glorious week at Kumbura in January 2024 ( postponed from 3 years due to Covid) - worth the wait. From our first contact with Cecile, to the arrival at paradise, everything was wonderful. My expectations for the villa were already high and it didn’t disappoint. The villa was stunning, rooms are beautiful and bed so comfortable. Our favourite thing to do was an early morning coffee in the most amazing surroundings and listening to monkeys, peacocks and watching that glorious morning light. The food was the best we tasted and we had breakfast every day and some lunches and even a birthday dinner party. Manjula, and all the staff were a delight and Bruno, the villa dog. Shamara, the tuk tuk driver, also made sure we got to see every beautiful beach in the area. We can’t wait to return to Sri Lanka and Kumbura. Heaven on earth
