We had an amazing nearly week long stay at Mandalay Lake Villa. The manager/chef Chinthaka, and his team took very good care of us. The food was superb, the service was beyond exceptional, and the rooms were very comfortable. Great place to visit with family and friends

The premises is quiet and serene with a breathtaking view of madol duwa which is covered with lush greenery. There are 3 bedrooms. Whole first floor contains with the majestic master bedroom with an open bathroom directly connected to the living room at the ground floor from a stair way. One of the two bedrooms in the ground floor has two single beds with attached bathroom. The other one has a king size bed and a large bath room partially open to sky.There’s a large pool with a deep end and best thing was the natural warmness of water even in the night (might be because of the warm weather) Food was good & staff was very supportive and friendly.Info for movie plans-The TV they had was small & unable to connect to Netflix since the tv version was outdated. The HDMI cable was also broken.

Spent an idyllic 4 days in this pretty, dreamy villa by the lake. It's an amazing location, albeit a little far from all the action- you would need a vehicle to get to areas with restaurants etc. The pool is lovely, the entire staff is very kind and helpful. And did I mention the location? It's lovely! My only issues were1. When it rained, everything leaked- including in the master bedroom and the open air living space 2. The master bedroom/bathroom have no privacy and can get to be a nuisance when you have kids etc. 3. The master bathroom itself is kind of poorly designed- there is no counter space at the washbasin, the shower door opens outwards and the water overflows and wets the mats thoroughly, the WC is open in the bathroom which would be fine except that the entire bathroom is open- so like I said before, zero privacy. These issues aren't there in the other bedrooms.A big shout out to Chintaka and Dulci (I hope I spelt it correctly!)!!! Thank you!

Without exaggeration this is one of the most amazing place I've ever stayed. The Villa is simply magnificent, well kept and decorated with a simple and a luxurious standard. The staff is incredibly nice and make one feel very welcome. One of the highlights was the food, amazingly cooked by the house chef. Totally recommended..
